What is G-Cloud?
In February 2015, ITAMS was awarded a place upon the G-Cloud 6 framework, the UK government’s Digital Marketplace for providing cloud services to the public sector.
The G-Cloud initiative encourages public sector organisations to purchase IT services and solutions from the Digital Marketplace from a list of approved suppliers; allowing them to access internet-based computing on a “pay-as-you-use” basis, rather than being tied to inflexible long-term contracts.
This simplifies not only the purchasing process but helps to drive cost efficiencies, reducing time and effort selecting the right resources, seevices and technologies to suit public sector organisations.
Since 2002, ITAMS has been supplying specialist IT & software asset management services and solutions to both the public and private sector. With an unrivaled reputation for delivering consulting, technology and managed services, we already have a number of high profile central and local government clients and other public sector organisations using Enterprise Licence Management (ELM 360) and other ITAMS’ consulting services.
Through G-Cloud 6, ITAMS will offer services under two lots: Software as a Service and Specialist Cloud Services.
- The Software as a Service lot
- The Specialist Cloud Services lot
A portfolio of end-to-end services that are delivered via a cloud-based platform and which helps end-users reduce the risk and cost of managing software licences across disparate and often complex enterprises. ELM 360 fulfils a wide range of needs from tactical advice to full outsource that can be finely-tuned to match a client’s level of licensing maturity, internal resources, capabilities and priorities. ITAMS’ Advisory Services are characterised by high value, low cost, short term engagements that are vendor and service provider agnostic. These aim to navigate a complex and/or large client through the challenges of initiating, rolling out and running a successful IT Asset Management or Licence Management service.
The services are flexible in nature and include cloud implications, helping end-users to tackle both immediate and long term software licensing challenges. More>
ITAMS was the first IAITAM (International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers) authorised training organisation in the UK. We currently run several courses for Software and Hardware Asset Managers. The courses also include advice on Cloud implementations. More>
Alongside the ELM 360 cloud-based platform, both the IAITAM training courses and Advisory Services include independent and specialist advice. In particular, focusing on the technology, process, governance and resourcing challenges the public sector may face with a modern cloud-based infrastructure.
