Aspera launches ‘simulation’ for savings in the data centre

Aspera launches ‘simulation’ for savings in the data centre

By Aspera – Boston, MA/USA. Published June 23, 2016

Aspera has recently announced the release of SmartTrack Optimization & Simulation 4.1.1, a highly cost-effective and functional way to optimise data centre topologies.

This new release gives SAM managers full control over planning and analysing their IT landscape, enabling their company to maximise the value of its current software investment and plan for the most efficient future spend.

Aspera say that “at the heart of the simulation is the new topology designer, through which the licences and contracts of all device types can be planned, optimised and compared on all platforms and for every infrastructure. Unlimited “what if?” licence scenarios are created real-time in a sandbox and managed without any impact on the production environment through a unique, intuitive interface. For instance, product consolidations and the effects of rollouts can be calculated in a few seconds.”

“The new version offers clients an easy access to mature simulation”, Aspera “have always supported customers in ensuring high data quality as the basis of every optimisation and customers today are already making seven-figure savings using the optimisation functions.”

The Optimization & Simulation solution is a powerful companion to Aspera’s flagship SmartTrack platform for licence management. Both technologies are equally suitable for corporations, large organisations and medium-size companies due to their excellent scalability.
